Bookkeeper
(AU Experience Required)
The Bookkeeper is responsible for supporting the financial operations and its clients by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and preparing compliance documentation. This position is performed remotely and requires a high level of attention to detail, professional communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
The Bookkeeper reports directly to the Managing Director and is expected to work collaboratively with both internal team members and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Position Overview
Financial Record Maintenance
Maintain general ledger accounts in accordance with client requirements
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Ensure accurate data entry for all financial transactions
Accounts Payable and Receivable
Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable ledgers
Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding items
Process customer invoices and apply payments
Assist with debt collection activities where required
Payroll Processing
Set up and maintain employee records in payroll systems
Process payroll in accordance with relevant awards and agreements
Ensure compliance with superannuation, PAYG withholding, and leave accrual obligations
Inventory Accounting
Record inventory transactions and reconcile related accounts
Support clients with inventory management reporting
Liaise with clients to ensure systems reflect current inventory levels
Compliance and Reporting
Assist with preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and
Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
Support preparation of reports for month-end and year-end close
Liaise with external accountants as required
Systems and Tools
Use and maintain records in Xero, MYOB, Asana, Hubdoc, and other relevant platforms
Follow internal workflows and task assignments using project management software
Communication and Confidentiality
Communicate professionally and clearly with clients and team members
Maintain confidentiality and handle all financial data with discretion
Escalate issues or discrepancies to the Managing Director promptly
Key Responsibilities
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory
Proficiency with Xero and/or MYOB
Demonstrated proficiency in both Xero and MYOB accounting software is required.
Familiarity with cloud-based tools such as Asana and Hubdoc
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
Desirable Attributes
Experience with Australian businesses and knowledge of Australian GST and payroll obligations
Progress towards a relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability
Reliable internet connection and access to a professional remote working environment
